SULAYMANIYAH, May 20, 2026 – As part of the 2025–2026 Academic Year Sports Tournaments, which commenced in April 2026, the Dean of Students Office at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIU-S) successfully concluded the university’s Table Tennis Tournament, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.
Following a series of exciting matches, Rovar Rasul from the Pharmacy Department, Second Stage, and Mr. Rasty Yusuf advanced to the championship match, which was held on May 20, 2026.
In a highly competitive final, Rovar Rasul delivered an outstanding performance to defeat Mr. Rasty Yusuf, earning the title of 2025–2026 Tishk International University Sulaimani Table Tennis Tournament Champion.
The tournament reflects Tishk International University Sulaimani’s commitment to promoting student engagement through extracurricular activities while supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by encouraging active lifestyles and SDG 4: Quality Education by fostering discipline, resilience, and personal development through sports.
