SULAYMANIYAH, May 19, 2026 – The Dean of Students Office, in collaboration with the Charity Club at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIU-S), successfully organized a Food Fundraising Festival on the TIU-S campus, bringing together students, faculty members, and staff in a day of community engagement and charitable giving.
The festival featured a variety of homemade food and beverages prepared and sold by students, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting orphaned children and families in need. Following the festival, 120 orphaned children and children from needy families received Eid clothes through the university’s charitable initiative.
The event encouraged volunteerism, strengthened students’ sense of social responsibility, and highlighted the importance of community service through student-led initiatives.
The festival reflects Tishk International University Sulaimani’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by supporting vulnerable members of the community through collaborative charitable efforts.
The Dean of Students Office extends its sincere appreciation to all students, volunteers, faculty members, staff, and donors whose generosity made the initiative a success and helped bring joy to children and families in need ahead of Eid.
