SULAYMANIYAH, January 10–20, 2026 – Following the successful Food Fundraising Festival held on December 17, 2025, the Dean of Students Office, in collaboration with the Charity Club at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIU-S), carried out a winter humanitarian campaign to support vulnerable members of the local community.

From January 10 to January 20, 2026, volunteers distributed winter heating oil to nearly 100 families facing financial hardship. In addition, financial assistance was provided to several orphaned families to help meet their essential living expenses during the winter season.

The initiative demonstrated the university’s continued commitment to transforming charitable fundraising into meaningful community support, while encouraging students to actively participate in volunteerism and humanitarian service.

The campaign reflects Tishk International University Sulaimani’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by supporting vulnerable families through community collaboration and student-led charitable initiatives.

The Dean of Students Office extends its sincere appreciation to all students, volunteers, staff members, and donors whose generosity and dedication made this humanitarian campaign possible, helping to bring warmth, hope, and relief to nearly 100 families during the winter season.
