SULAYMANIYAH, June 2, 2026 – As part of the 2025–2026 Academic Year Sports Tournaments, which commenced in April 2026, the Dean of Students Office at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIU-S) successfully concluded the university’s Football Tournament, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy competitive environment among students.
Following weeks of exciting matches, the Civil Team and the Firewall Team advanced to the championship match, held on June 8, 2026.
In a thrilling final, the Firewall Team delivered an outstanding performance to defeat the Civil Team and secure the title of 2025–2026 Tishk International University Sulaimani Football Tournament Champions.
The tournament reflects Tishk International University Sulaimani’s commitment to promoting student engagement through extracurricular activities while supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by encouraging physical activity and healthy lifestyles, and SDG 4: Quality Education by fostering teamwork, leadership, discipline, and personal development beyond the classroom.
