Second-Stage Medical Analysis Students Gain Practical Lab Exposure

A medical field trip to Harem Hospital was conducted for second-stage students of the Medical Analysis Department on August 12, 2025, complementing their Human Physiology and Immunology courses. The aim was to equip students with practical knowledge of hospital operations and to let them see how their academic learning is applied in real laboratory environments.

Physiology-Focused Stage

In the physiology-focused stage, students observed clinical assessments of organ systems, such as cardiac and renal function tests.

Immunology-Focused Stage

The immunology stage took them into specialized labs where they saw diagnostic procedures for detecting pathogens and antibodies.

This two-part structure allowed students to directly compare theoretical models with their practical execution in diagnostics.

Educational Impact

The experience provided invaluable context, reinforcing lecture material by demonstrating its real-world utility. Students left with a stronger grasp of how laboratory science forms the backbone of medical diagnosis and treatment, effectively bridging the gap between the classroom and the clinic.
