TIU Civil Engineering Department organized a scientific trip to Azady Industry Company in Tanjaro-Sulaimani on Mach 7th, 2021. The factory is noted for its significant participation across the country in power transmission towers, steel structures, Hangars, fuel tanks and hot dip galvanization. The aim of the outing was to provide students a conception of the methods of the manufacture of different types of steel sections and their structural functions.
The team of 4th grade Civil Engineering students from TIUS were supervised by Mr. Brwa Ahmad. The visit covered the explanation of the types of steel and steel structures, as well as the methods of construction including materials that are used and the tests required to examine the quality of the sections.
