A National Workshop on Tendering Process and Quantity Estimation in Construction Projects
Tishk International University-Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a National Workshop on the Tendering Process and Quantity Estimation in Construction Projects, held on December 4th, 2023, at 1:30 PM at TIUS Hall No.55. The workshop was organized by the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, and was attended by academics and students from the Civil Engineering and Architecture Engineering Departments.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the tendering process and quantity estimation in construction projects. The workshop covered a wide range of topics, including:
- The different types of tendering procedures
- The preparation of tender documents
- The quantity takeoff process
- The pricing of construction work
The workshop was presented by Mr. Mohammed Halkawt, Procurement Manager at Grand Boulevard Project, and Mr. Jalal Hamakarim, Consultant Engineer from Sulaimani Municipality. Both speakers have extensive experience in the construction industry and provided participants with valuable insights into the tendering process and quantity estimation.
The workshop was well-received by participants, who appreciated the practical and informative presentations. Participants also praised the opportunity to network with other professionals in the construction industry.
