Civil Engineering Department Conducts A Site Visit to Sha City Construction Project

On April 22nd, 2024, the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University – Sulaimani (TIUS), a group of students had the opportunity to explore the ongoing Sha City Construction Project.

Led by Mr. Ilham Ibrahim, and accompanied by the project manager, Eng. Shekh Omar, the students embarked on a comprehensive learning journey. Mr. Ibrahim and Eng. Omar provided invaluable insights into the project, meticulously explaining the various stages of construction.

The visit delved deep into the project’s structural system, offering students a detailed understanding of the construction sequence. This practical exposure proved invaluable, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

Furthermore, the sales unit generously took the time to elaborate on the project’s properties and unique aspects. This well-rounded exposure provided students with a holistic perspective of the construction process, from its technical intricacies to its commercial considerations.

The Civil Engineering Department extends its heartfelt gratitude to the project managers of the Sha City Construction Project for facilitating this enriching experience. We firmly believe that such site visits play a crucial role in shaping well-rounded civil engineers, equipped with the theoretical knowledge and practical understanding to excel in their chosen field.
