In collaboration with Horizon Relief, the Dean of Students and the Charity Club at Tishk International University-Sulaimani organized a joint initiative to provide assistance to a low-income family in the Sulaimaniyah Province, on June 5th, 2023. Noting the family’s difficulties in preparing meals due to an inadequate cooking apparatus, the group gifted them a new stove, an upgrade from their previous single-burner cooker. The main objective of this charitable activity was to give students an opportunity to engage with individuals in need, witnessing firsthand how the funds collected by the club were put to good use. The act of personally delivering the stove enriched the students’ understanding of community needs, emphasizing the value of compassion and encouraging continued philanthropy within the academic community.
