Scientific Trip to Halabja
The Architectural Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University-Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to Halabja for second-stage students on February 12th, 2023. The purpose of the educational trip organized for the students was to visit two schools, Ahmed Mukhtar Jaf and Aso Haji Mohammed Bamoki. This excursion was an integral part of their current design project and provided them with the opportunity to gain insights into real-world architectural applications.
Accompanied by their instructors and engineers, the students were encouraged to explore the structures and designs of the actual projects at these schools. This experience was vital for bridging the gap between their theoretical knowledge and practical applications. It allowed them to observe, inquire, and understand the various aspects and challenges of architectural design in an educational setting.
Such visits are crucial for students as they provide a tangible context to their studies, enabling them to visualize and comprehend the complex processes involved in bringing architectural concepts to life. This direct interaction with the physical spaces and the professionals involved in creating them equipped the students with valuable information that could inform and enhance their own project designs.
