Charity Club – Visiting Schools In Sulaimanyah

On December 10th, 2022, the Dean of Students and the Charity Club at Tishk International University-Sulaimani (TIUS), organized an event of distributing clothes to the low-income students from governmental schools in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Prior to the distribution of clothes, members of the charity club had proactively reached out to school principals to obtain detailed information regarding the number of students in need of assistance. This careful preparation ensured that the subsequent delivery of clothes was tailored to meet the specific needs of the children, both in terms of gender and size.

Due to the wide range of sizes among the donated clothes, and particularly the abundance of sizes suitable for children aged 6-7, the charity initiative extended its reach. The club members organized visits to three schools and two kindergartens, ensuring that the donations would have the maximum impact. The clothes had been thoughtfully categorized and packaged, facilitating a smooth and organized handover process. The students in these educational institutions received the garments, selected to fit them well. The dedication of TIUS in conducting this thoughtful and impactful outreach exemplified the spirit of community support and the positive role students can play in the lives of their younger peers.
