National Workshop on the Oil Sector in the KRG
The Business and Management Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University-Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a National Workshop on the Oil Industry In Kurdistan: Past, Present, and Future, held on November 9th, 2022.
During the workshop, Dr. Shwan of Tishk International University provided an in-depth analysis of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) policies regarding the oil sector. This was complemented by a comprehensive presentation from Mr. Muhammad Hussein, a seasoned businessman, who provided a retrospective and prospective overview of the oil sector within the KRG. The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion among instructors and students, focusing on the evolution of the oil industry and the exploration of alternative energy sources, fostering a critical understanding of the sector’s impact on the region’s development.
