Social Project for the High School Students

The Business and Management Department, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University (TIUS) hosted a social responsibility event on October 24th, 2022, and welcomed Zhilwan High School to the university campus.

The event, organized to bridge the gap between high school education and higher education aspirations, aimed to illuminate the pathway for high school students embarking on their academic and professional journeys. The initiative began with an insightful seminar delivered by Mr. Shalaw, who highlighted the crucial importance of preparation for the ministry examinations—a pivotal step for students aiming to enter tertiary education institutions.

In the pursuit of offering a comprehensive glimpse into university life and academic offerings, students were then dispersed into specialized classes across various departments, including the Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Business Department. This strategic move provided the students with an experiential understanding of the subjects and the unique dynamics of university classrooms.

The post-lunch session of the program featured reflective discussions led by Dr. Taylan and Dr. Hariem, who shared their personal and professional insights on the significance of the day’s events. Their perspectives offered valuable wisdom and guidance, further aiding the students in their contemplation of future choices.

The students and faculty from Zhilwan High School expressed a profound appreciation for this initiative, recognizing it as an invaluable opportunity to gather critical information and firsthand experience, which in turn will empower them to make more informed and confident decisions about their higher educational pursuits.
