A Great Achievement by TIU Graduate

The accomplishments of Tishk International University-Sulaimani (TIUS) alumni and students are increasingly gaining recognition on both national and international platforms. A testament to this growing prestige is the achievement of Sara Rabati, an alumna of the university’s Department of Architectural Engineering.

Graduating in the academic year of 2020-2021, Sara Rabati showcased her academic prowess by participating in the INSPIRELI Awards, a renowned global contest celebrating excellence in architecture, interior design, and urbanism. Her graduation project, entitled “Babylon Gate of the 21st Century,” was supervised by Mr. Mustafa Mukhlis and Mrs. Nadia Allamy, who provided guidance and mentorship throughout the project’s development.

Out of the 1025 projects submitted from 92 countries, only 44 were chosen as finalists, and Sara’s project was distinguished among this elite group. This recognition is particularly noteworthy given the broad and competitive field of entries.

Furthermore, Sara’s project also caught the attention of the Tamayouz Excellence Award, another international award program dedicated to architectural projects. Her project being shortlisted by Tamayouz underscores the innovative and exceptional quality of her work, marking her as a rising talent in the field of architecture.
