Dentistry and Medical Science Faculty Focuses on Reconstruction and Psychological Healing

In continuation of scientific activities, the Dentistry and Medical Science Faculty at Tishk International University organized a national workshop on Sunday, October 19, 2025, entitled “Beyond Awareness: Early Detection, Support, and Survivorship in the Battle Against Breast Cancer, Fostering Hope through Reconstruction and Psychological Recovery Post Cancer.”

Workshop Topics

The workshop addressed:

  • Identifying early signs and symptoms of breast cancer and understanding the importance of early detection

  • Describing risk factors associated with breast cancer, including genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors

  • Demonstrating proper breast self-examination (BSE) techniques and understanding recommended screening guidelines

  • Reconstruction after diagnosis and treatment, offering hope by helping women feel whole again—restoring not only physical form but emotional strength


Conclusion

This workshop highlighted the importance of early detection, comprehensive treatment, and the life-changing role of breast reconstruction in restoring confidence and quality of life. Through shared knowledge, expert discussions, and patient stories, we strengthened our commitment to supporting women on their journey from diagnosis to recovery.
