SULAYMANIYAH, December 17, 2025 – The Dean of Students Office, in collaboration with the Charity Club at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIU-S), successfully organized a Food Fundraising Festival to support orphaned children and children from families in need.

The festival brought together students, academic staff, and administrative employees in a spirit of generosity and community engagement. A variety of homemade food and beverages were prepared and sold by students, with all proceeds dedicated to purchasing winter clothing for 100 orphaned children and children from needy families.

The initiative aimed to encourage volunteerism, strengthen students’ sense of social responsibility, and make a meaningful contribution to the local community during the winter season.

The event reflects Tishk International University Sulaimani’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by supporting vulnerable members of the community through student-led charitable initiatives.

The Dean of Students Office expresses its sincere appreciation to all students, staff members, volunteers, and contributors whose generosity and dedication made the Food Fundraising Festival a successful initiative, bringing warmth and hope to children in need.
