On June 5th, 2021, the Civil Engineering Department of Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIU) organized a scientific trip to one of the largest brick factories in the region, Aso Brick Factory. The aim of the visit was to introduce the students to the stages of the brick manufacturing process and to identify the types of bricks used for different purposes in construction. Tishk International University Sulaimani held a graduation photoshoot ceremony for the Departments of Architecture and Civil Engineering for the academic year 2020-2021. The ceremony was held in the presence of lecturers and students’ families, on the 27th May, 2021. TIU specifies a day each year for a graduation photoshoot; this customary event is organized by the University to celebrate the achievements and success of our students, and signify the importance of graduation for every student at all stages, whether its kindergarten, high school and eventually college. On May 10th, 2021, the Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIUS) organized a Poster Presentation event for the 2nd grade students. Different topics were presented by the students each group. The event displayed the projects that have been prepared by the students, aiming to provide information about hydraulic structures and their applications. The Event was supervised by Mr. Kaywan Othman and attended by Civil Engineering Departmental staff and students.

The Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to Sulaimani General Construction Laboratory on May 19th, 2021. The trip was supervised by Mr. Ilham Ibrahim and attended by 4th grade Civil Engineering Department students at TIUS. The purpose of the visitation was to explain the quality control of the asphalt products that are used in roadways in Sulaimani and surrounding areas, and explain the procedures of Marshal Mix Design of hot mix asphalt concrete. Tishk International University, Faculty of Engineering, Architectural Engineering Department organized a scientific trip for first stage students to Goyzha Mountain in Sulaimani, on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021. In order to help build their imagination and discover more ideas, first-grade architectural students began sketching their designs and making compositions although they have not much knowledge of the design criteria. This step is essential to enhance student's creativity and allow them to visualize their ideas, which will eventually be developed into a larger project.
