The 5th-grade Architecture students’ site trip to Bashur city & Zaytun city On March 3, 2022, students of 5th grade of Architectural Engineering, Tishk International University-Sulaimani, visited two under-construction projects, Bashur and Zaytun cities in Sulaimani. On Tuesday, March 1st  2022 Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to Garden City. The aim of the visit was to introduce the students to different construction practices, stages, and materials that are used for different types of buildings and at different stages of construction.  The trip was supervised by Mr. Shallaw Abdulla and site supervisors from the project. Four Tishk International University-Suliamani alumni (Saya Hikmat, Ashkan Azad, Binayie Rahim and Lawen Abdalqadir) from the Department of Architectural Engineering published a scientific article entitled ‘An Inquiry About the Roles and Duties of Architects in the Public Sector: Sulaimani Governorate as the Study Field’ in the ‘Journal of Studies in Science and Engineering’, which is indexed by Crossref, Google scjholar and with DOI. The article investigated the subject of professional practice and the role of architects in Iraqi Kurdistan region, specifically in Sulaimani. Dr. Dogan Ozdemir, President of TIU Sulaimani branch, and Dr. Taylan Budur, Head of Business and Management Department, cordially welcomed Dr. Karzan Abdulla Mohammed, Dean of Halabja Technical College of Applied Science, and Dr. Sahar Hussein Hama Rashid, Head of the Agricultural Management Department, on February 21, 2022. As an attempt to collaborate between design and other allied courses, the department of architectural engineering at Tishk International University-Sulaimani made a successful trial. As a result, on 26.01.2022, students of the 2nd grade submitted their final design projects and incorporated the Construction Technology and Perspective course requirements. This endeavour by the department can positively influence how students of architecture interconnect the knowledge they acquire from other courses into the design and make more out of it.

Two instructors (Dr. Hozan Latif Rauf and Dr. Sardar S. Shareef) of Tishk International University-Suliamani, Department of Architectural Engineering, published a scientific article in the ‘Journal of Nonlinear Engineering’. The article entitled ‘Parameter simulation of multidimensional urban landscape design based on nonlinear theory’. The researchers collaboratively with two Chinese professors considered the application of nonlinear theory in the Landscape Design.
