On April 4th 2022, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a scientific trip to Phoenix Refinery in Arbat which is an international factory for bitumen production. The aim of the trip was to provide the information about the process of producing bitumen and tests that is done to control the quality of the bitumen. Wednesday, March 30, 2022, a workshop was organized as a collaboration between the universities of (Sulaymaniyah, Tishk International and Cihan) about new approaches to architecture design process and methods. On March 1st, 2022, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIU) organized a scientific trip to Qaiwan Heights project site. The aim of the trip was to introduce the construction details of one of the buildings that is under construction and specifically introducing flat slab and reinforcement detailing closely to the students. On the construction site, site supervisors and engineers explained the main structural elements and structural detailing of the building including slabs, columns, and pedestal installments. On 8th March 2022, Tishk International University Sulaimani has arranged a football tournament for both staff and students. The teams were devided into two groups in which the first and second of each group will be qualified for next stage which was knock out system. Students from different departments teamed up and joined the tournament. The final game was held between architecture department vs business and management department which was ended up bu winning of business and management department. The Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to the 17th Interchange construction site on the 100 Meter street in Sulaimani on the 29th of March 2022. The trip aimed to introduce the interchange site and construction steps and the structural components and their detail. Business and Management Department of TIU Sulaimani branch hosted the Department of International Commerce of Sulaimani University on March 27, 2022. The aim of the hospitality was to expose students to diverse environments and allow them to take their classes outside of the campus, as well as to establish better collaboration between public and private institutions. Dr. Najih Samin Ahmed from University of Sulaimani coordinated the event. Dr. Taylan Budur then gave a presentation on the relevance of Human Resource Management in increasing a company's competitiveness in today's market.
