The Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to Sulaimani General Construction Laboratory on May 22nd, 2023. The trip was supervised by Mr. Ilham Ibrahim and attended by 3rd and 4th grade Civil Engineering Department students at TIUS. The purpose of the visitation was to explain the quality control of the asphalt products that are used in roadways in Sulaimani and surrounding areas and explain the procedures of Marshal Mix Design of hot mix asphalt concrete. December 13th, 2021, Tishk International University-Sulaimani, Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department has organized a seminar on “Tendering procedure under the light of the new applied rules in KRG” for the Civil Engineering students of the 4th grade. The seminar was presented by Mr. Awder Omer who is a licensed architect. The Seminar aimed to enhance the knowledge and the awareness of the contract documents under the updated rules and regulations that fresh Civil Engineering graduates needs the most.

December 12th 2021, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a Poster Presentation event for the second, third and fourth grade students. Different topics and projects were presented by the students in groups. The event included both presentation and practical projects which have been prepared by the students themselves. Dec 06th, 2021, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to Miran City. The aim of the trip was to introduce the students' methods and techniques of construction in Miran City and different building materials and admixtures that are in use in the construction site. The trip was supervised by Dr. Sardar Shareef from civil engineering department. On 01 Dec 2021, Tishk International University Sulaimani - in cooperation with Cihan University - sulaimani organized a workshop entitled “Examination and Classification of Damaged Structures, and the Methods of their Solution”. The main purpose behind it was to introduce different techniques and methods used to rehabilitate the structural and architectural damages, to show the typical material diagnostic examinations namely, corrosion analysis, strength analysis, and the best methods used for strengthening and  sharing the results of experiment of strengthening for concrete by steel tube member technology. On 19 Oct 2021, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to Sharey Baban Project also known as (100 m). The trip aimed to introduce the construction steps of flexible pavement road construction including different engineering works during the construction.
