TIU Sulaimani Civil Engineering Students Drive Meaningful Change Through Local Community Service and Charity Support Project
SULAIMANI — In alignment with its mission to cultivate socially responsible, compassionate, and well-rounded professionals, Tishk International University (TIU) Sulaimani recently celebrated the successful completion of a profound student-led initiative. Under the umbrella of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Character-Building (IDCB) course, seven dedicated Civil Engineering students successfully executed a multi-day community engagement program from June 18, 2026, to June 21, 2026.
The intensive four-day initiative, officially titled the “Community Service and Charity Support Project”, was structured to bridge classroom learning with real-world empathy. Led by student participants Nvar Nawzad, Aro Omed, Las Bestun, Lazo Star, Hana Fern, Lanyar Awat, and Lara Othman under the close supervision of Shallaw Abdulla, the team designed and implemented a series of charitable activities specifically targeted at supporting the region’s most vulnerable groups.
