In a heartening display of social responsibility and community engagement, first-stage Civil Engineering students from Tishk International University successfully launched and executed a community service initiative titled “Project Sweet Smiles” On 3 June 2026. Developed under the guidance of course instructor Mr. Shallaw Abdulla as part of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Community Building (IDCB) curriculum, the project aimed to bring happiness and encouragement to hardworking, underprivileged children in the bustling local street bazaar of Sulaymaniyah. The dedicated student team—comprising Ranko Rebwar, Tishko Mahmood, Tavi Shwan, Berind Ari, Daro Swara, and Hedi Ali—collaboratively managed every phase of the project, which included funding, sourcing high-quality chocolate brownies and varied confectionery, and meticulously packing them into elegant white gift bags. Donning their official Tishk Charity Club uniform vests, the students navigated the heavily crowded marketplace to personally distribute the sweet treats, overcoming local logistical hurdles, strict time constraints, and crowd coordination in the process. The initiative concluded as a profound success, leaving the participating future engineers deeply inspired by the immediate impact of simple acts of kindness and reinforcing their commitment to active community building.
