On Jun 18&19.2023 Tishk International University Sulaimany, Faculty of Engineering, Architectural Engineering Department had final discussion of the 2022-2023 thesis graduation projects, where architecture students demonstrated their creativity and realism in designing innovative projects. Departing from the traditional approach, students were encouraged to choose their own project topics, enabling them to conduct extensive research and gather data to address major issues and propose architectural solutions. Tishk International University-Sulaimani, has organized a training course of Revit Architecture for the academic staff in February 2023. Revit as a Building Information Modeling software has a significant contribution in construction industry, so, it is necessary for the staff to be armed with enough knowledge to direct students of architecture and civil engineering towards the latest applications essential to the market. The training course consisted of several face-to-face classes and practices.

Our lecturer in the Department of Architectural Engineering, Dr. Sardar Sulaiman Shareef has been named the first (No.1) researcher in Iraq in the Scopus database for outstanding research in ‘architectural education’.
