On 27 December 2020, Charity club students visited Orphanage House. The aim of the visit was to spend a great time with the children, completing their needs, understanding their situation, and enhancing the sense of helping and giving.The students of TIU Sulaimani bought some necessary items and packed them.The items that were bought consisted of toothpaste, toothbrush, mask, tissue, clothes, television, cleaner, toys, and generator gas. The total income was nearly 1,273,000 dinars that were collected in a food fundraising event which was organized in Kurdistan Flag Day in which the students and the staff members of the University brought and [...]

December 23rd  2020, Civil Engineering Department at TIUS organized an exhibition and a poster presentation for the 3rd grade students. For the event different topics were prepared and presented by the students in groups. The event included both presentation of the research findings and practical projects. Jury members from the department evaluated the projects and graded the student’s works. The Event was held with the participation of the university vice president, dean of student and head of civil engineering department.  

On 22 December 2020, Tishk International University, Faculty of engineering, Architectural engineering department has organized a dinner for third stage students. The event was aimed to reunite the students with their lecturers in order to make and build up a stronger relation between them, as they get to know each other better out of the lectures and have a more friendly relation. Students had barbecue in this event, organized by the concerned staff and lecturers of the department.

On 24 December 2020, Tishk International University, Faculty of engineering, Architectural engineering department has organized a breakfast for second stage students. The event was aimed to reunite the students with their lecturers in order to make and build up a stronger relation between the students themselves and students with the lecturers, as a recompensate of last year as they had lower chance to contact with each other face to face because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was organized by Mr. Mustafa Mukhlis with the presence of Mr. Nizar Najim.  

On 14 December 2020, Tishk International University, Faculty of engineering, Architectural engineering department has organized a dinner in Ramada Hotel for the first alumnus, graduated in 2019-2020. The event aimed to reunite and gather the alumnus in order to enhance and maintain the built-up friendship among them even after their graduation, so they have a higher chance to collaborate together in their works and do great jobs for their country as a team.  

December 10th, 2020, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a Symposium under the title (Environmental Impact of Structures).  The symposium was held in the university conference hall and it consisted of two seminar sessions. The first seminar session entitled “Corrosion in Structural Steel and its impact on the structures presented by Mr. Brwa Ahmad. Second seminar session entitled "Dams and their impact on the environment” presented by Mr. Kaywan Othman. The symposium was attended by academics and civil engineering students in TIUS. At the end of the symposium questions from the participants were answered by the presenters.

On 10 December 2020, charity club of Tishk International University Sulaimani helped a poor and needy family. The University staff members and the people outside the University collected (1177 $), in which so many house goods were bought and given to the specific person; including carpet, refrigerator, heater, blanket, vacuum cleaner and some other needs. The duration of collecting that amount was only 9 days; from 01 December to 09 December. The Charity club of Tishk International University is always pleasant to arrange and participate in such activities to help and serve the community.  

On 22 November 2020, Tishik International University, Faculty of Engineering, Architectural Engineering department has organized an event for fifth grade students to a (Villa in Sitak). The organization was purposed to give the students motivation by providing them a different environment of the lectures beside the University Campus. They had a breakfast prepared for them and design lecture at the same time about (Animal Architecture) in the pleasant nature. The event was organized by Mr. Mustafa Mukhlis and Mrs. Nadia Allami, who are lecturers at TIU.  

On 17 December 2020, students and staff members of Tishk International University Sulaimani organized an event for celebrating Kurdistan Flag Day. The aim of the event was to highly appreciate and introduce that day to the students. Kurdistan Flag Day is celebrated annually on December 17 since 2009 when the parliament of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq passed a law to commemorate the Kurdistan Republic. The Kurdistan Flag consists of four colors; the red color stands for the blood of martyrs, the green color stands for vitality and life, the white color stands for equality and peace, and the yellow one [...]

On December 16th, 2020, Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University Saulaimani (TIUS) organized a scientific trip to Azady Industries Company. The aim of the trip was to provide information about the Manufacturing steel and Iron sections with their purposes. also, to show the students some f the important tests that needs to be done for the steel sections prior to their use. The trip was supervised by Dr. Nazim and he explained different stages of manufacturing steel bars and iron sections .And it was attended by the Second-grade students from Civil Engineering Department at TIU.
