On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Tishk International University, Faculty of Engineering, Architectural Engineering Department, 3rd grade students had the final presentation of the ‘Commercial Building Project’ design.
This project is the first high-rise building that students design during academic learning stages, composed of a base called ‘Podium’ and a tower. Therefore, this project is assumed as one of the essential and necessary projects that architecture students should get familiar with design, as it will affect so many dimensions in the city fabric. Furthermore, since it is a commercial project, it needs to have an attractive form to take the customers’ attention, so the students, during designing the project, learn to think about all these factors to have a successful design output.
The project is a multi-functional building with Offices, Shopping Stores, a Market, and Multi-Storey Car Parking, in which students have the opportunity to learn how to design and solve complicated car circulation.
The teaching staff evaluated the students’ projects, and the best ones among them were marked as ‘Hold’ to be used in future exhibitions of the department.
