On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, Tishk International University/Sulaimany, Faculty of Engineering, Architectural Engineering Department, organized a scientific trip for 3rd-grade students to some historical and valuable places and buildings in Sulaimany.
One of the most necessary properties of an architect is to have excellent knowledge about the culture and history of different countries and civilizations generally and their own country especially. So, the trip’s main goal was to get students familiar with the most valuable and noteworthy places in the history of Sulaimany in their academic studies.
On the trip, First, students visited the grand mosque of Sulaimany. They have seen different parts, spaces and elements of the mosque, and they have been explained the history and importance of the mosque from building it until nowadays. Then, they visited Mufty Bath, one of the oldest bathes in Sabunkaran. Finally, they have seen Anwar Shexa House, which is also one of the most remarkable and valuable houses, as it is known for being rich with most of the house elements of Kurdish or local architecture.
