The Faculty of Applied Science—Information Technology Department at Tishk International University is excited to announce a 9-day, hands-on training course aimed at introducing students and staff to the core principles of cybersecurity. This workshop, titled “Cyber Basics: Building Your First Line of Digital Defense,” is a practical and accessible path to understanding and defending against modern cyber threats for anyone looking to sharpen their digital safety skills.

Course Highlights

Led by Mr. Mohammed Ramzi, M.Sc. in Cybersecurity, participants will explore essential cybersecurity concepts through real-world examples and interactive labs. The training will cover crucial topics, including:

  • Recognizing and responding to common online threats
  • Protecting personal and institutional data
  • Preventing hacking attempts and cyberattacks
  • Safe internet usage and digital hygiene
  • Practical strategies for building strong digital defenses

Schedule & Registration

The course is scheduled for nine daily sessions, starting on April 27, 2025, and concluding on May 8, 2025. Each session will run from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lab 2-38 in the TIU Main Building.

Due to the interactive nature of the training, registration is limited to 25 participants. To secure a spot, please register at Office 1-24. All attendees will be awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the program.
