In a successful initiative aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1: No Poverty, the Dean of Students’ Charity Club, in collaboration with Horizon Relief Organization, has successfully distributed winter oil to 100 vulnerable families in need.

From Fundraising to Distribution

This compassionate project was made possible by the collective effort and success of a prior Food Fundraising Event held on December 17, 2024. The revenue generated from the event was dedicated to purchasing the essential winter supplies.

Following the fundraiser, dedicated volunteers worked diligently to ensure the aid reached the intended families. The distribution process spanned two dedicated days, January 7 and 11, ensuring that the families received the necessary winter oil to endure the harsh conditions.

Impact and Commitment

This initiative showcases TIU-S’s steadfast dedication to tackling poverty and enhancing the living standards of vulnerable communities. By addressing immediate needs, the project reinforces the university’s commitment to social responsibility and its role in fostering a caring and resilient society.
