On April 14th, the Dean of Students at Tishk International University – Sulaimani organized a meaningful event to commemorate the Anfal Campaign, honoring the memory of the victims and raising awareness among the university community about this significant historical event.
A Solemn and Reflective Program
The event began with the solemn recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a respectful tone for the gathering. This was followed by a heartfelt speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Khidir Masum, President of TIU, who reflected on the historical significance and profound human impact of the Anfal Campaign. To conclude the program, participants took part in a tree-planting campaign, a powerful symbol of hope, renewal, and remembrance for the victims.
