Tishk International University – Sulaimani successfully organized a meaningful charity initiative during the holy month of Ramadan (March 2025), distributing food packages to 545 families in need. The campaign ran from the 5th to the 25th of Ramadan, reflecting TIU’s deep commitment to social responsibility and community support.
A Collective Effort for a Noble Cause
The initiative was generously funded by both students and staff, highlighting the compassion and unity within the TIU community. Together, students and staff gathered for a one-day packaging event on campus, working side by side to carefully prepare each food package. The distribution process was conducted over six separate days, ensuring that the packages were delivered respectfully and efficiently to families across various communities through the dedicated efforts of Civil Engineering students.

- SDG 2 – Zero Hunger: The food packages directly addressed food insecurity in vulnerable communities.
- SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being: Access to nutritious food is fundamental to the health and well-being of individuals.
- SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: The collaboration between students, staff, and volunteers demonstrates the power of collective action in achieving social impact.
