Online Proficiency Test

Regulation of Tishk Online Proficiency Test

1. The results will be announced 3 days later by student affairs. Results are not available online.
2. The exam will be invalid for the participants who typed name and exam code incorrectly.
3. Exam code can be used only once. Second attempt is not allowed or is not assessed by the system.
4. If the exam is not submitted in 90 minutes, it will be an incomplete exam which will not be assessed. Students must click “submit“ before the link expires.

Content of the Exam:

1. There are 5 sections which will be completed in 90 minutes at most.

• Listening Section: Click the given audio link and answer 10 multiple choice questions
• Grammar and Vocabulary: Answer 50 multiple choice questions
• Reading: Read the text and answer 10 multiple choice questions
• Speaking: There are 2 topics to record your voice as a video. Each topic will be recorded in 3 minutes (total 6 mins). Name your file(s) with your full name. For example, Ahmed Halo Gardi 1 , Ahmed Halo Gardi 2
• Writing: Choose one of the given topics to write a composition which has over 120 words

2. Question types will be similar to Oxford and Cambridge Proficiency Examinations whose sample exams are available in large numbers on the internet to practice.

Attention

• Stable internet connection, PC are required. There are possible risks to take the exam by mobile phones considering speaking and writing parts. It is not suggested to take the exam by a mobile phone.
• Having a Google Gmail Account is a must for all students to start the test. They need to create a Gmail account in advance. Yahoo and Outlook are not accepted.

ئەنجامەکان دوای 3 رۆژ لە لایەن کاروباری قوتابیانەوە بڵاودەکرێتەوە، ئەنجامەکان لە ئۆنڵاین بەردەست نین-

تنظيم اختبار الكفاءة عبر الإنترنت

.سيتم إعلان النتائج بعد 3 أيام من قبل الشؤون الطلابية. النتائج غير متوفرة على الإنترنت

سيكون الاختبار غير صالح للمشتركين الذين يكتبون الاسم او رمز الاختبار بشكل غير صحيح. يمكن استخدام رمز الاختبار مرة واحدة فقط. المحاولة الثانية غير  مسموح بها أو لم يتم تقييمها من قبل الهيئة المتخصصة

إذا لم يتم تقديم الاختبار في 90 دقيقة، فسيعتبر الاختبار غير مكتمل ولن يتم تقييمه. يجب على المتقدمين للاختبار النقر فوق “إرسال” قبل انتهاء صلاحية الرابط، اي بعد 90 دقيقة من بدأ الاختبار

:محتوى الاختبار

.١- هناك 5 أقسام والتي سيتم الانتهاء منها في 90 دقيقة على الأكثر

. قسم الاستماع: سيحتوي هذا القسم على رابط، انقر على الرابط الصوتي المحدد وأجب عن 10 أسئلة متعددة الخيارات

. قسم القواعد والمفردات: أجب عن 50 سؤالاً من أسئلة الاختيارات المتعددة

:قسم القراءة

. القراءة أ: اقرأ النص وأجب عن 10 أسئلة متعددة الخيارات

قسم المحادثة: هناك موضوعان لتسجيل صوتك كفيديو. سيتم تسجيل كل موضوع في 3 دقائق (إجمالي 6 دقائق). قم بتسمية ملفك (ملفاتك) باسمك الكامل. على سبيل المثال، أحمد هالو جاردي 1، أحمد هالو جاردي 2

.قسم الكتابة: اختر أحد الموضوعات المحددة لكتابة تركيبة تتكون من أكثر من 120 كلمة

٢- ستكون أنواع الأسئلة مماثلة لامتحانات الكفاءة في أكسفورد وكامبريدج التي تتوفر عينات منها بأعداد كبيرة على الإنترنت للتدرب عليه

.اتصال إنترنت يجب ان يكون مستقر قبل بدا الاختبار-

يرجى استخدام جهاز كمبيوتر. هناك مخاطر محتملة لإجراء الاختبار عن طريق الهواتف المحمولة مع الأخذ في الاعتبار أجزاء التحدث والكتابة. لا يُقترح إجراء الاختبار عن طريق الهاتف المحمول

يجب أن يكون لدى جميع الطلاب الذين يرغبون في إجراء الاختبار حساب

C.1.1. It is an international standardized examination that includes speaking, reading, writing and listening parts and measures the candidate student’s language proficiency,
C.1.2. In the proficiency exam, candidates’ success is evaluated according to the following:

> Reading ability 20%, Writing ability 30%, Speaking ability 30%, and Listening ability 20%,

C.1.3.The exam is free and the exam application is made in the student affairs department of our university,

C.1.4. Exam results are given and announced by Prep School within 3 days to the student affairs section and candidates can learn the result from the student affairs.

After the proficiency exam:

50% of Wezari Exam English Language Score and 50% of Tishk International University Proficiency Exam Score decide upon the language level of the student who has enrolled at Tishk International University.

1) If the average is more than 50 (see the third rule), the student moves into the first year.

If the average is lower than 50 (see the second rule), the student has to study at the Preparatory School of the University, but he/she has to complete one year of English education successfully. After that he/she can study as the first class student in the relevant department.

2) If the student’s Tishk International University English proficiency exam score is lower than 50, he/she can move the first year of the related faculty but he/she may be enrolled in the first class but it is essential to take the 1st Semester GEN 100 – Foundation 1 and 2nd Semester GEN 102 – Foundation 2 courses. Additionally, he/she must be absolutely successful at the end of the both courses.

3) If the student’s Tishk International University English proficiency exam score is higher than 50, he/she can move the first year of the related faculty but he/she does not have to study Foundation English course.

1. The candidate must fulfill all the conditions stipulated by the Ministry of Education of Kurdistan,

2. Since the language of education at our university is English, the conditions for studying at university for the first year students are as follows:

A. The candidate must present an internationally accepted original document result such as TOEFL (60), IELTS (5) or PTE (40) – shows that he/she has the minimum English score from exams,

B. The school officials must submit a certificate for students who has graduated from English language teaching institutions, stating that the student has received all upper secondary education in English,

C. The candidate student has to be take the Tishk International University Proficiency Test.
