The 5th Innovative Tishk Exhibition of Projects (ITEP) of the academic year (2020-2021), was undertaken by the Architectural Engineering Department of Tishk International University on May. 23. 2021, as an annual event to exhibit the project of the department students. The event has been organized under health instructions, to motivate the students during this hard time. Only student’s close family members and friends were invited, in addition to Jury members consisting of academic and experienced architects in order to evaluate the projects. On Thursday, April 8th, 2021, the Architectural Engineering Department of Tishk International University, have organized a scientific trip for the 2nd year students to both; the “Steel Factory in Tanjaro” and the “Family Mall” under the “Building Construction Technology I” course. On Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 a scientific trip to (The Grand Mosque in Sulaimani) has been organized by the Architectural Engineering Department of Tishk International University, for the 3rd grade students. The Architectural Design is a core course in the architecture engineering department, and visiting similar buildings helps students to widen their imagination and understand the projects better, therefore the aim of the trip was to enable the students to have glimpses about the design of a Grand Mosque project. On February 7th, 2021 the Architectural Engineering Department in Tishk International University, have organized a scientific trip to “Qaiwan City” for 3rd grade students. During the trip, an engineer has been assigned by the administration of the city to accompany and guide the students. As there were some residential units under construction and has not been completed yet, students had the opportunity to see the construction process on site, such as foundation, column, beam and shear walls which support the loads.
