On 11 February 2021, Tishk International University Sulaimani organized a “Welcome Ceremony” for First- Year “freshmen” students. On 08 February 2021, Tishk International University arranged an event (promotion event) for its lecturers. The event aimed to support and encourage all lecturers and to recruit and retain high-quality lecturers, maximize their potential and reward them for effort, excellence, and innovation. On 08 February 2021, Tishk International University’s Council members Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustee, paid a visit to Tishk International University Sulaimani branch. They held a meeting with Dr. Dogan Ozdemir, vice president of the University. The meeting aimed to discuss new strategies for the next academic year, applying for new departments, and construction of the new campus. On 30 January 2021, Dean of students of Tishk International University Sulaimani arranged a hiking trip to “Daray mar” area. The aim of the trip was to enjoy the spirit of adventure, to train the students to work as team, to prepare the students for all practical tasks. On 31 January 2021, Tishk International University Sulaimani Student Affairs staff arranged a seminar for 12th – grade students of US Colleges at the request of the school administration. The seminar was presented by Asoc.Prof.Ahmed Demir, lecturer at Business and Management department. The aim of the seminar was to encourage and motivate the students of how to manage the time, how to study and how to prepare themselves for examinations. On 12 January 2021, Dr. Dogan Ozdemir, president of Tishk International University Sulaimani accompanied by Dr. Ahmet Demir, lecturer at TIU Sulaimani visited University of Sulaimani. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the development of scientific relations between the two universities, with the establishment of a joint international workshop between both of the universities. Tishk International University Sulaimani has always been at the forefront of strengthening ties with the universities and it is always an initiative to develop the level of science and knowledge.
