The four-year BSc. degree program of Computer Engineering (CMPE) covers a wide range of engineering applications that embodies mathematics, science, and technology to design, implement and perform maintenance of hardware and software systems, computer-controlled equipment, and network systems. The history of the computer engineering department at TIU Sulaimani dates back to 2022-2023 as one of the engineering departments under the Faculty of Engineering. 

Computer engineering is solidly grounded in the theories and principles of computing, mathematics, science, and engineering and it applies these theories and principles to solve technical problems through the design of computing hardware, software, networks, and processes. The Computer Engineering program covers a wide range of engineering applications that embodies mathematics, science, and technology to design, implement and perform maintenance of hardware and software systems, computer-controlled equipment, and network systems. 

The Bachelor program of “Computer Engineering Department” is accredited by ZEvA Commission (Report). 

In March 2019, the ZEvA Commission has accredited the Bachelor program “Computer Engineering” at Tishk International University. The program has been evaluated positively by the experts’ panel and has been granted full and unconditional accreditation for five years. The international ZEvA Quality Seal is awarded.
