On 21 May 2026, students from the Computer Engineering and Information Technology departments at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a meaningful community project. In cooperation and Collaboration work, the students successfully prepared 50 food packages to support families facing financial hardships.

The entire event was guided and supervised by university lecturers Ms. Lanja Abdulqadr and Mr. Rasti Yousif. The university Atrium became a busy workspace where student volunteers gathered together to sort, pack, and box essential food items.

The goal of this project was to give immediate help to local families while teaching students the importance of kindness, teamwork, and helping their community. It beautifully demonstrated that TIU students care about more than just their academic studies they also care about making a real difference in people’s lives.

The departments give a big thank you  to Ms. Lanja and Mr. Rasti for their leadership, and to all the wonderful student volunteers who gave their time and effort. TIU is incredibly proud to support student-led projects that help our community grow stronger together.
