On May 17, 2026, the Architecture Department of Tishk International University – Sulaimaniyah Branch proudly participated in the National Innovation Competition in Engineering (NICE), hosted by Tishk International University – Erbil Branch. The competition brought together more than 10 universities from across Kurdistan, with Tishk International University – Sulaimaniyah Branch proudly standing among the participating universities. The department showcased an impressive contribution of 10–12 innovative projects, reflecting the creativity, technical skills, and dedication of its students.
The competition brought together talented students from various engineering disciplines, providing a platform to present innovative ideas, exchange knowledge, and demonstrate academic excellence in engineering and design-related fields.
A remarkable achievement was accomplished by Kani Karwan, a Stage 4 student from the Architecture Department, who proudly secured 1st Place in the Architecture Category of the competition. This outstanding success highlights the student’s hard work, creativity, and commitment to excellence, while also reflecting the high academic standards and continuous support provided by the TIUS architecture department.
