As part of their commitment to environmental responsibility and community service, the first-year students of the Architecture Department launched the “Keep Hawari Shar Clean” initiative at Hawari Shar Park On 21 May 2025. The project aimed to contribute to the improvement of cleanliness and environmental quality within the park through voluntary clean-up activities.
Recognizing that pollution and the accumulation of waste are among the major challenges affecting public spaces, the students worked together to remove litter and debris from different areas of the park. Their efforts helped create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for visitors while demonstrating the importance of preserving public spaces.
The project was designed with several key objectives, including reducing the amount of waste within the park, improving overall cleanliness, creating a pleasant environment for visitors, encouraging the public to maintain clean surroundings, and raising awareness about environmental conservation within the community.
This initiative reflects the values of civic engagement, teamwork, and environmental stewardship that our university seeks to instill in its students. Through projects such as this, students not only contribute positively to their community but also develop a stronger sense of responsibility toward the environment.
We commend the first-year Architecture students for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to making a positive impact. Their efforts serve as an inspiring example of how students can contribute to building cleaner and healthier communities.
