On April 18, 2026, evaluation of master's student Pana Mohammed Pirot under the supervision of prof. Dr. Srwa Ali, she is a head of Medical Analysis Department and Dean of Dentistry and Medical Sciences Faculty at Tishk International University/Sulaimania, under the title [Molecular Characterization of Vibrio cholerae Toxin-Encoding Genes ctxA and ctxB in Sulaymaniyah City]. This study aimed to isolate pathogenic V. cholerae strains from clinical and environmental samples and characterize their key properties, including detection of the cholera toxin gene ctxA and ctxB, evaluation antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, and investigate key biofilm-regulatory genes, including hapR and vpsR.
