The architectural engineering program provides students with a rich and rigorous foundation in the fields of architectural design, technology, urban design, structure, history and theory, and landscape architecture. The program thus balances the intensity of a theory with technical creativity, imagination; critical thinking it integrates other disciplines.<\/p>\n

In the department of architecture engineering, the students study and practice architecture and fine arts\u00a0 as creative skills to improve the country and enable them to progress successfully in this field. The department prepares students to address the complex problem of the 21first century through the application of the art and science of design. The department provides students with intensive theoretical training and studio experiences, they are also encouraged to do technical creativity, imagination, critical thinking, a sense of history and development of a social, ethical, and artistic.<\/p>\n

The mission of the Architecture B.Sc. degree is to prepare students to become innovators and problem solvers in all architecture related field by educating them into the highest levels of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which leads them to apply effectively the fundamental concepts, knowledge and drawing techniques of the architectural practice.<\/p>\n

To be a leading university in the country and the region in the area of education, research and development as well as serving the community by educating staff and students to the universal ethical values. The department aims to be a competitive body in the academic fields.<\/p>\n

By the end of this program, students will be able to:\n1. Apply problem-solving skills in the architectural context.\n2. Demonstrate knowledge of architectural history, theory, and practice in solving architectural design problems.\n3. Utilize freehand drawing, architectural graphics, and model building skills in solving architectural design problems.\n4. Utilize the computer as a tool in a wide range of documentation and presentation applications, using CAD, 3-D visualization and rendering, electronic image composition and editing software.\n5. Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering and technology in solving architectural design problems.\n6. Develop designs that meet desired needs within realistic economic, social, political, and cultural constraints.\n7. Develop designs that fulfill the environmental, health & safety, and sustainability considerations.\n8. Demonstrate team-working skills and show the ability to work collaboratively with various design teams involved in the building industry, and collaborate and negotiate with clients.\n9. Demonstrate the necessary knowledge for applying laws, codes, regulations, standards and practices in relation to building construction systems.\n10. Show their ideas through high quality drawing skills and artistic sense.\n11. Utilize their skills to address professional and ethical responsibilities, diversity and commitment to the work field.\n12. Suggest solutions and techniques for engaging in life-long learning and knowledge about contemporary issues.<\/p>\n
