his workshop explores the role of interior design and architecture in preserving and revitalizing cultural heritage in Sulaimani City through the integration of digital technologies and adaptive reuse strategies.

It is structured in two parts:

Part 1 presents academic insights, including an evaluation of heritage buildings in Sulaymaniyah city by Ameera Ahmed from DIHS , and a discussion on digital reconstruction and rehabilitation of historical buildings in Sulaymaniyah based on a published study by Dr. Alan Faraydoon.

Part 2 showcases student graduation projects focused on the interior redesign and adaptive reuse of key cultural sites, such as Saray Sulaimani and Cinema Dlshad.

The workshop targets interior design and architecture students and academics, aiming to bridge theory with practice, enhance heritage awareness, and encourage innovative design approaches that respect cultural identity.
