The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 18 November 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the TIUS Conference Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Workshop Overview<\/p>\n<p>The workshop brings together academics, researchers, students and practising engineers to discuss lower-carbon construction materials and new digital tools for sustainable, resilient infrastructure. The programme includes:<\/p>\n<p>Keynote (10:00\u201310:50): Beyond Strength and Beauty: Advanced Materials and Digital Technologies for Sustainable Infrastructure, presented by Dr. Zanyar Mirzaei, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Kurdistan. Seminar 1 (10:50\u201311:40): Practical Guidance on the Production of Geopolymer Binders and Concrete, presented by Mr. Ilham Ibrahim Mohammed, Department of Civil Engineering, TIU. Seminar 2 (11:40\u201312:30): From Life-Cycle Assessment to AI-Based Decision Support for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure, presented by Mr. Sarhang Abdalrahman, Director of Halabja Environment.<\/p>\n<p>Each session includes time for open discussion. The event is also the first step towards wider academic cooperation among the partner institutions, including joint research, postgraduate co-supervision and staff and student exchange.<\/p>\n<p>All
