The event was held in Hall 1-56 and was part of the club\u2019s ongoing mission to enhance students\u2019 practical understanding of civil engineering issues beyond the classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"selected\">Insights from an Experienced Professional<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">The seminar was delivered by <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Mr. Rafiq Mahmood<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, an experienced professional in the field of construction and structural engineering. His presentation focused on frequently observed issues in residential buildings, including foundation settlement, wall cracking, moisture intrusion, and structural deterioration due to poor construction practices or material selection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">Throughout the session, Mr. Rafiq provided real-world examples and photos from site inspections to illustrate how such defects originate, how they can be identified early, and effective methods for prevention and remediation. His practical insights were especially valuable for civil engineering students preparing for careers in construction, supervision, or structural design.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"selected\">Bridging Academia and Industry<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">The event drew a large number of students and faculty members, all of whom engaged actively during the Q&amp;A session. Their great interest in the topic demonstrated an appreciation for the relevance of the information provided.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">This seminar is one of several initiatives by the CSC Club designed to bridge academic learning with industry challenges.
