TIU ELT students continued their school visits as part of their quest for practical knowledge. They visited US Colleges at Qaiwan Heights on December 08, 12, 2021. A group of students, consisting of 13 members, together with Dr. Alpaslan, arrived at the school premises and were warmly welcomed by the principal and teaching staff. The students participated in an English language class and carried out their observations. The eighth-grade students, whose class ELT students observed, were extremely focused and motivated in the class. They eagerly contributed and competed to answer questions directed by their English language teacher. They displayed an excellent command of the language and had no difficulties in expressing their opinions. The ELT students handed over a bouquet and modest presents to the teacher to display their appreciation and gratitude for letting them observe his class. ELT students took a group photo with students before leaving the classroom at the end of the observation. They were cordially welcomed by the school principal. He kindly provided information regarding the school and gently answered questions ELT students asked on a variety of issues ranging from disciplinary matters, student selection criteria to the system of the school. Before ELT students took their leave, they presented the principal with a bouquet and promotional gifts they brought with them. The visit of ELT students at US Colleges Qaiwan Heights branch was concluded after the principal kindly agreed to participate in a group photo in front of the school. This proved to be another valuable experience for ELT students in their way to obtain lasting and enduring practical knowledge in the field of education.
