As part of its social responsibility initiatives and commitment to community service, the Faculty of Dentistry organized a humanitarian visit to the Thalassemia Center on Wednesday, 20 May, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The visit was carried out by dental students under the supervision of their faculty members with the primary goal of supporting children receiving treatment at the center and bringing joy to their daily lives. During the event, gifts were distributed to the children, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere and encouraging positive interaction between the students and the young patients.
In addition to the recreational and supportive activities, members of the Faculty of Dentistry participated in a voluntary blood donation campaign to contribute to the ongoing needs of patients with thalassemia. This humanitarian effort reflected the spirit of solidarity, compassion,
and social engagement promoted by the faculty.
The visit provided an opportunity for students to connect with the community, demonstrate empathy, and contribute to a meaningful cause beyond their academic responsibilities. The children, their families, and the center’s staff warmly welcomed the initiative, which helped
create memorable moments of happiness and encouragement.
Through activities such as this, the Faculty of Dentistry continues to strengthen its role in serving the community and fostering a culture of volunteerism, compassion, and social responsibility among its students and staff.
