On 21 May As part of its commitment to promoting oral health awareness among children, the Faculty of Dentistry organized the “Bright Smile for Kids” initiative at Kurd Genius Kindergarten on 21 May. The activity was conducted by dental students under the supervision of their faculty members with the aim of encouraging healthy oral hygiene habits from an early age. The program featured a series of interactive and child-friendly educational activities designed to introduce young children to the importance of caring for their teeth and maintaining good oral health. Students delivered engaging presentations and demonstrations on proper tooth-brushing techniques, healthy dietary habits, and the prevention of common dental problems. To enhance the learning experience, educational materials and oral health brochures were distributed, while interactive discussions and practical demonstrations helped the children better understand daily oral hygiene practices. The event also included recreational activities and the distribution of gifts, creating a fun and positive environment that encouraged active participation. The initiative sought not only to educate children about dental health but also to foster positive attitudes toward oral care and future dental visits. The enthusiasm and engagement shown by the children highlighted the importance of early oral health education in establishing lifelong healthy habits.
Through projects such as “Bright Smile for Kids,” the Faculty of Dentistry continues to strengthen its role in community service by promoting preventive dentistry, health education, and the well-being of future generations.
