BIR 2026 – Bridging Innovation and Responsibility, the Sixth International Conference on Scientific, Social, and Humanitarian Research, was successfully held on 22–23 April 2026 at Tishk International University – Sulaimani. The conference brought together academics, researchers, experts, and professionals from diverse fields to exchange knowledge and discuss emerging challenges and opportunities related to innovation, artificial intelligence, scientific research, social sciences, humanities, ethical responsibility, and sustainable development. Under the theme “Bridging Innovation and Responsibility,” BIR 2026 emphasized the importance of combining technological and scientific advancement with ethical considerations and social responsibility, providing a platform for researchers and academic institutions to share their findings, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches to contemporary global and regional challenges. BIR 2026 was jointly organized by the Arab Democratic Center – Germany, Tishk International University – Sulaimani, University of Sulaimani, Duhok Polytechnic University, and Cordoba Public University of Najaf, in collaboration with the Conference Journal of the Arab Democratic Center – Berlin. The conference aimed to promote academic and scientific exchange, encourage interdisciplinary research in scientific, social, and humanitarian fields, explore the opportunities and challenges created by artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, discuss the ethical and social responsibilities associated with innovation, highlight the role of research and innovation in achieving sustainable development, and strengthen academic collaboration between local and international institutions. The two-day event provided an important opportunity for scholars and experts to exchange perspectives across different disciplines and highlighted the importance of collaboration between universities, researchers, and academic organizations in addressing contemporary challenges through knowledge, innovation, and responsible research. Special appreciation is extended to the TIUS Business students and all volunteers whose dedication, cooperation, and hard work played an important role in the successful organization and delivery of this international academic event. The conference featured academic discussions and research exchange centered on innovation, artificial intelligence, responsible development, and scientific, social, and humanitarian research, while also strengthening academic connections among participating institutions and providing researchers with a platform to present ideas and contribute to discussions about the future of responsible innovation and sustainable development. The successful conclusion of BIR 2026 represents an important academic milestone for Tishk International University – Sulaimani and its partner institutions, demonstrating the value of bringing together different academic disciplines and institutions to promote research, innovation, ethical responsibility, and sustainable development.
