On 3 November 2025, Business and Management Department at Tishk International University (TIU) organized an industry guest lecture titled Contemporary Marketing Strategies for Business Growth. The event aimed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of effective marketing strategies and their practical implementation in competitive business environments.
The lecture focused on equipping 3rd stage students with a clear understanding of strategic marketing planning, market segmentation, targeting and positioning (STP), competitive analysis, and customer relationship management. The session highlighted how organizations can develop sustainable competitive advantages through well-designed marketing strategies aligned with market needs and consumer behavior.
The event included the following sessions:
· 1st session: Fundamentals of Marketing Strategy and Competitive Positioning.
· 2nd session: Market Segmentation, Targeting, and Brand Positioning Techniques.
· 3rd session: Strategic Decision-Making and Performance Evaluation in Marketing.
The lecture was delivered by Ms. Payam Ali Faraj, an experienced marketing professional, who shared real-life business cases and practical examples from the industry. The session was attended by undergraduate students from the Department of Business Administration and Marketing, along with academic staff members.
The guest lecture enhanced students’ strategic thinking skills and strengthened their understanding of how marketing strategies contribute to organizational success and long-term profitability. It also encouraged students to apply theoretical concepts in practical business contexts.
