About Physiotherapy Department<\/h1><\/div>

Physiotherapy Department<\/strong> was opened at Tishk International University- Sulaimani in 2023. The department also known as a physical therapy department, is a specialized department within a healthcare facility or hospital that provides physiotherapy services. It is typically staffed by a team of physiotherapists, assistants, and other support staff who work together to deliver comprehensive care to patients.<\/p>\n

The main\u00a0functions and features of a physiotherapy<\/strong>\u00a0department include:<\/p>\n

  1. Assessment and Evaluation: The department conducts thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their physical impairments, functional limitations, and goals. This involves gathering relevant medical history, conducting physical examinations, and using various assessment tools and techniques.<\/li>\n

    Mission<\/strong> of the Physiotherapy B.Sc. degree program is to prepare students to become professional physical therapists and pursue further post-graduate studies. The program focuses on equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to work as physical therapists in a variety of settings, from hospitals to private practice. Students learn not only the science behind physical therapy, but also the practical skills needed to work with patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.<\/p>\n

    Vision<\/strong> of Department of Physiotherapy is to offer the region high-qualified Physiotherapist with Diploma degree.<\/p>\n

    We are a team of innovative, empathetic, exemplary healthcare professionals who are driven by passion, inspiration and performance as we care for our clients from every age, stage and walk of life. Many establishments are running nowadays with highly costing services, yet lacking proficient and well knowledge trainee to govern such a highly important part of medicine, the diagnosis. The Department of physiotherapy is there to graduate students with considerable motivation and comprehensive knowledge of their field. To pursuit career in many fields of healthcare and medicine that can serve the community and fulfil the needs and gaps for proper medical diagnosis and treatment in the region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    1. Graduates will have knowledge of the methods, procedures, models, techniques, and actions required in the application of physical therapeutic treatment.<\/li>\n
    2. Graduates will be able to manage and evaluate health care, patients, and their conditions.<\/li>\n
    3. \u00a0Graduates will be flexible and able to adapt to the health care changings environment.<\/li>\n
    4. \u00a0Graduates will be able to integrate and coordinate physical therapeutic treatments and the other modalities of health care.<\/li>\n
    5. Graduates will have the ability to practice professionally, ethically and collaboratively by demonstrating an effective clinical reasoning capacity that includes the use of evidence in a client-centered and evolving practice.<\/li>\n

      Future Perspectives<\/h1><\/div>

      • Within\u00a0Tishk International University<\/strong>, the top students will get a chance to work as research assistants and preferably the ones who have both scientific and social abilities as they can support the scientific events (workshops, training courses, symposiums, and conferences), also they can be part of the social activities which are related to the health awareness events, community projects and fundraising for the Disable hospitals.<\/li>\n
      • Out of university, graduates can reach most of the private hospitals, medical private clinic, and GYM sport hall, and also can join international NGOs to be part of the funded health awareness programs.<\/li>\n
      • Furthermore,\u00a0Physiotherapy<\/strong>\u00a0Dept. has a strong collaboration with the IRO unit at TIU to support and encourage students with high GPAs to work on the international post-graduate seats to get their master\u2019s degrees and to continue serving at the physiotherapy Dep. as academics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
