We are proud to announce the successful completion of the first interdisciplinary scientific symposium jointly organized between the university and Mercy Medical City Hospital on April 16, 2026, titled: “Advancing Shoulder Pain Management: Orthopedic–Physical Therapy Integration.”

Held at the Mercy Medical City Hospital Conference Hall, this landmark event brought together orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists in a collaborative effort to bridge gaps in fragmented care pathways and strengthen interprofessional cooperation at the local level.

The symposium featured six specialized scientific sessions delivered by expert speakers. Topics ranged from the reassessment of intra-articular injections to evidence-based rehabilitation protocols designed for movement specialists. In addition, interactive panel discussions encouraged meaningful dialogue on shared decision-making and explored international models of integrated patient care.

This event represents a significant milestone in enhancing physical therapy practices and improving long-term functional outcomes for patients in the region. It also sets a strong foundation for future collaboration between academic institutions and healthcare providers.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizing committee and all participants whose contributions made this symposium a successful and impactful scientific gathering.
