On Sunday, October 4, 2026, the Physiotherapy Department at Tishk International University – Sulaimani successfully hosted the workshop “Role of Physiotherapy After Heart Attack and Stroke” at the university campus.
The event brought together experts and faculty members to discuss key advances in cardiovascular and post-stroke rehabilitation.
Presentations included Dr. Dunya Mohammed on the interplay between pharmacotherapy and physical therapy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mubarak Muhammad on evidence-based strategies for preventing stroke and cardiovascular disease, and Dr. Chiman Hasan on empowering patient recovery through comprehensive rehabilitation. The workshop concluded with an engaging discussion on improving clinical practices and patient outcomes.
